Drone site data, read by someone who's run the machines.

We capture aerial data on construction and extraction sites and turn it into the earthwork volumes, grade checks and as-builts your engineers and project managers actually use.

The machine-control audit

We check the surface before the machine moves.

The drone captures the existing ground. We compare it against the design surface, LandXML straight from Civil 3D. Every deviation comes back as cut or fill, mapped and quantified, before a grader or paver commits a re-grade you would pay for twice.

Services

Data your P. Eng. can use as supporting evidence.

Volumes

Earthwork & stockpile volumes

Cut/fill quantities and material inventory for pits, quarries and active sites, plus recurring stockpile monitoring for month-end.

Base plane · triangulated · progress volumes
Grade

Machine-control audits

Existing surface vs. design model elevation maps before the grader or paver moves, built on hands-on Gomaco and grade-control experience.

EG↔FG · LandXML · TIN surfaces
Progress

Progress capture

Orthomosaics and 3D site models for project managers and ownership, logged stage by stage across the build.

Ortho · point cloud · 3D mesh
QA

As-built & QA verification

Centimetre-level capture of finished work, as supporting evidence in warranty claims, payment disputes and liability questions.

As-built · deviation map · sign-off

Why Gritsus

Most operators can fly. Few can read the model.

A LandXML surface, pour optimization, why a 15 mm subgrade deviation matters to the machine. That reading turns raw imagery into a decision. We come from the construction side first. The drone is the tool.

"I'm a heavy-equipment tech who specializes in concrete paving and machine control. I fly drones to give contractors verified site data: earthwork volumes, base-grade checks against the design model, and as-builts for QA. I understand the machines and the grade control, so the data comes back interpreted, not raw."

Credentials

Accuracy you can put in a report.

Control

Ground control, not guesswork

Distributed GCPs plus an independent checkpoint on accuracy-critical jobs. RMSE reported on the deliverable.

Design

Fluent in your design model

LandXML, TIN surfaces, EG↔FG in Civil 3D. You get a cut/fill map and a number, interpreted for the machine.

Corporate

A real business on your PO

Gritsus Geomatics Inc., federally incorporated in Canada and HST-registered.

Insurance

Insured & Transport Canada certified

Commercial general liability and professional liability (E&O) in place. Transport Canada RPAS pilot certification. COI on request.

Start with one site

Book a reference shoot on your next pit or corridor.

Send the site, the design surface if you have one, and what you need to know. You get back interpreted data and a fixed quote for the recurring work.
